On the weekend, the gardeners gathered to place paving stones to create walking paths in the garden.  More poppies are blooming and the rest of the garden is doing well.

Poppies are poppin’

May 5, 2016  tagged lettuce / poppies / strawberries / sunflowers

More poppies are staring to bloom and a couple of the sunflowers are getting bigger.  By the looks of things, our strawberry patch will be producing a bunch of berries this year.  The transplanted lettuce seem to be doing well.

We’ve moved a few of our tomato plants and lettuce to our garden this week.  The strawberry plants continue to blossom and berries are starting to show.  Some of the poppies are blooming and potato plants have been hilled up.

The strawberry plants in the garden continue to get more flowers, and we have some mint amongst the strawberries.  The potato plants are getting bigger as well.  The poppy flowers are starting too, with a few of our newly planted sunflowers sprouting next to them. Inside, we have a bushel of tomato plants and some lettuce too.

Garden renewal

We visited the garden today, and our strawberry plants are taking over one of the boxes.  We’ve planted sunflowers, but no sign of them yet.
